The Tee Off for Hospice 2023 is back this year for a fun-filled day of golf at Mill Run Golf Club on Thursday, August 24th, 2023. They are excited to see all of their golfers on the green for a shotgun-style format starting at 10:00AM.
In addition to the 18-hole round of golf with power cart, they are offering a complimentary continental breakfast before the golfing starts, and a post-golf BBQ lunch where golfers will have a chance to mingle, bid on silent auction items, and participate in a 50/50 raffle! There will be lots of exciting on-course contests like hole-in-one contests, a putting contest, and a Beat the Coach contest!
The Tee Off for Hospice annual golf tournament raises essential funds for two Hospices that serve York Region residents throughout the year.
They are fortunate to receive government funding for their clinical care team and medical supplies, however that funding doesn’t cover all of their costs, which means they need to raise approximately $750,000 each year to ensure the Hospices meet the needs of the community. Tee off for Hospice is a key component to their fundraising success each year and Doane House Hospice and Margaret Bahen Hospice are thankful to event supporters and sponsors who participate year after year.
Doane House Hospice has been supporting those with life-limiting illnesses and their families in Newmarket, Aurora and Bradford for over 30 years, and for the past 5 years, Margaret Bahen Hospice has been a home away from home for residents in need of residential end-of-life care.
They rely on the amazing support from the community to continue providing the essential programs and services to York Region community members during life’s most challenging times.
