York Regional Police are seeking a white sedan, a suspect vehicle in a shooting case.

York Regional Police is seeking witnesses after shots were fired in a home within Markham.

The District 5 Criminal Investigations Bureau is reporting that the shots were fired around 4:30 a.m. June 28. Police responded to a call in the area of Featherstone Avenue and Highglen Avenue. When they arrived, officers found a home struck by multiple bullets, but no injuries were reported as a result.

Surveillance footage showed a white, four-door sedan driving slowly in the area moments before the shooting. A suspect in the footage approached on foot and discharged a firearm at the targeted residence. The suspect then returned to the vehicle and left.

“Police are reminding area residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to police,” the department said in a news release.

Police describe the suspect as a male with a medium build, wearing a hooded jacket, jogging pants and black shoes. The suspect’s vehicle was a white, four-door sedan with dark, tinted windows.

“Investigators are appealing for witnesses to come forward who may have been in the area at the time of the incident and have not yet spoken to police,” police said. “Investigators are also seeking any video surveillance from the area or anyone who may have captured dashcam video of roadways in the area.”
