Two assaulted during armed home invasion in Vaughan

Three men fled with nothing after forcing their way into a Vaughan house and assaulting two people Friday night.

Police were called to a residence in the Pine Valley Drive and Major Mackenzie Drive West area for a report of a home invasion March 8 at about 8:50 p.m.,
York Regional Police said in a news release.

The three suspects, one armed with a firearm, approached the victim who had arrived home and forced their way into the residence.

They demanded money but were unsuccessful and fled the scene southbound in a vehicle.

Two victims were treated for minor injuries as they were assaulted by one suspect.

The suspects are described as male, brown, skinny build, approximately 5’7”, wearing a black balaclava, black sweater and black pants. One suspect was armed with a handgun.
