Police are looking for at least five suspects following an armed robbery Saturday at a business in Vaughan.
York Regional Police responded to the business in the area of Rutherford Road and Highway 400 At 3:55 p.m. A 38-year-old employee had a minor injury that did not require medical attention, and another employee was located uninjured.
The first suspect was let into the store, and he held the door open for the four other suspects, one of whom had a black handgun, police said in a news release.
The suspects stole items and fled in an awaiting dark-coloured SUV that was last seen westbound on Rutherford Road.
The suspects are described as follows:
- Black male, thin build, 13 to 15 years old, wearing a black Nike hooded sweater, black pants, black shoes and white socks.
- Black male, five-foot-eight to five-foot-nine, thin build, wearing a blue tracksuit with white stripes and the hood up, a dark face covering, black gloves, white sneakers with black accents, holding a black handgun in his right hand.
- Male with light complexion, about five-foot-eight, thin build, wearing a black hoodie with white lettering on the back, brown pants, white sneakers, black and white gloves, sunglasses, and a beige scarf over his face.
- Male with light complexion, about five-foot-eight, thin build, wearing a black hoodie with writing on the back, blue jeans, white sneakers, white gloves and a grey face covering.
- Male, about five-foot-eight, thin build, wearing a black winter parka with black fur on the hood, black pants, black sneakers, a medical mask and black gloves.
