A 25-year-old missing Georgina woman has been found dead in Toronto, according to her devastated father.
Theo Kanarellis posted on his Facebook page on Christmas Day he was told by the Toronto Coroner's Office early that morning that Christina Kanarellis was found deceased.
"Police have given us no details regarding her death," he wrote. "As you can imagine, this is an extremely difficult time for all of us. We are devastated."
York Regional Police issued an appeal for the public's assistance in locating Christina on Dec. 23, after she had been missing for more than a week.
The family has started a GoFundMe page to assist with funeral expenses.
"Anyone who was fortunate enough to have known Christina will agree that she was a very loving person," Theo Kanarellis posted.
