Police are looking for a suspect following a sexual assault on a public transit bus in Vaughan on Jan. 30.
At about 4:30 p.m., the suspect boarded a bus at Kipling Avenue and Highway 7 and sat beside a female. He soon tried to start a conversation with the victim and touched her in a sexual manner, York Regional Police said in a news release.
At 4:55 p.m., the suspect got off the bus at the Vaughan Metropolitan Centre and left in an unknown direction.
He is described as a Black man, about 20 years old, with a heavy build, and balding, with a salt-and-pepper goatee. He was last seen wearing a grey tuque, a black winter waist-length coat with a fur collar, black pants and black winter boots, and carrying a grey bag.
