Man, 2 teens charged with attempted murder after shooting in King

Investigators believe the incident was targeted

Two adults and one youth have been charged with in connection to what police believe was a targeted shooting in King Thursday morning.

Officers responded to reports of gunshots at 7:53 a.m. in the area of Bathurst Street and Bloomington Road, near École secondaire catholique Renaissance in Aurora, after a man at a residence observed two armed men, dressed in dark clothing, in his backyard, York Regional Police said in a news release.

Officers learned shots had been fired between the group of armed men as the suspects fled the scene before police arrived. Police were later advised a man arrived at a hospital with gunshot wounds.

The man’s injuries were not considered life-threatening. He has since been released from the hospital. 

Thierry Krnic, 57, of King, is charged with attempted murder.

Rigan Ricardo Estick, 19, of Toronto, is charged with attempted murder.

A 17-year-old boy, of Toronto, is charged with attempted murder.

Investigators are seeking additional video surveillance from the area or dashcam video on the roadways.

Police ask anyone who has yet to speak with them to come forward.
