Investigators with the York Regional Police #4 District Criminal Investigations Bureau are seeking assistance to identify a suspect in connection with extortion and threats in the City of Vaughan.
On Tuesday, Aug. 20, 2019, at approximately 10:22 a.m., York Regional Police responded to a mall located on Bass Pro Mills Drive, regarding an incident of threats.
The complainant advised that he was inside the mall and a male suspect was threatening to kill him. The suspect made several demands and threatened the victim. The suspect fled the scene in a black vehicle.
The victim was not physically injured. After a lengthy and thorough investigation, officers have exhausted all leads and are appealing to the community for assistance in identifying the suspect.
