Police are seeking five suspects after a youth was sexually assaulted Sunday in Vaughan.
Shortly before 1 a.m., police responded to the area of Norwood Avenue and Jane Street after a female was approached by a group of at least five males who were unknown to her.
The suspects took the girl to another location, where they sexually assaulted her, York Regional Police said in a news release.
The first suspect is described as white, 15 to 18 years old, and was last seen wearing a red crewneck sweatshirt and red pants.
The second suspect is described as Black, 15 to 18 years old, and was last seen possibly wearing a grey Nike sweatshirt.
The third suspect is described as Black, 15 to 18 years old, with dreadlocks that extended to his eyebrows. He was last seen wearing a dark-coloured ‘Denim Tears’ hooded sweatshirt and black pants.
The fourth suspect is described as Black, 15 to 18 years old, and was last seen possibly wearing a black Nike sweatshirt.
The fifth suspect is described as Black, 15 to 18 years old, and was last seen wearing a white T-shirt with a design on it, possibly with the word ‘Supreme.’
Police are asking anyone who saw something suspicious in the area, has dash cam or video surveillance footage between 12 a.m. and 1 a.m., or has information about the suspects to come forward.
