2-year-old identified as one of 2 dead in Vaughan shooting

Police have made an arrest in Friday’s fatal shooting at a home in the Woodbridge area of Vaughan.

Shortly before 9 a.m., York Regional Police officers responded to a residence on Casa Nova Drive, where they found four victims who had been shot. One person was pronounced dead at the scene.

A second victim has since died.

The deceased have been identified as Thi Trang Do, 40, and Marcus Vu, 2, both of Vaughan. The other two victims are in stable condition.

Van Viet Duong, 41, of Toronto, has been charged with two counts each of first-degree murder and attempted murder.

Duong is believed to be known to the victims and police say the incident was targeted.
