Passed away, surrounded by love, at Toronto General Hospital on Friday, April 26th, 2024, at 70 years of age. Loving husband of Debra (nee Scott) for 48 years. Beloved father of Shaynna and Cameron (Megan Dodd). Doting grandfather of Declan and Harlow. Brother of Cheryl (Michael Beaudoin). Son of the late Harold Thomas and Heather Whitelaw.
Pearce grew up in Clarkson, Ontario. He was educated at Laurentian University where he graduated with a degree in Social Work. He worked in Ontario and Alberta and retired from York Region District School Board where he worked as an Attendance Counsellor. While he was working, he took great pride in his volunteerism for Rainbows, Pearce loved to sing and when he wasn’t singing along to the radio, he could be heard harmonizing with the Sharon Hope United Church Choir and the Keynotes Choir. He spent his summers golfing. He enjoyed travelling and laughing with family and lifelong friends.
A celebration of life will be held at Sharon Hope United Church on Friday May 3rd at 11 am. If desired, memorial donations may be made to Sharon Hope United Church.
Attendees are asked to honour him by wearing a touch of red and by considering organ donation.
