William (Billy) Wayne Ross was born on May 14, 1953 in Toronto, On, and passed away on September 16, 2024. Billy was predeceased by his parents William and Gertrude Ross and numerous aunts and uncles.

Billy leaves to mourn his two daughters Sara Jo Ross and Laurie Ann MacDonald and granddaughter Tenley, sister Wendy (John Tuck), niece Nicole (Neil), nephew Tyler (Jaclyn), nephew Korey (Erin), brother Bryan (Rose), nephews Adam, Nicholas, and Tyler, his dear Aunt Ruth, his wonderful Aunt Sally, numerous cousins and friends.

Billy grew up in Scarborough, On. and spent most summers up at the family cottage on the shores of Georgian Bay. Billy was sporty in his young years and loved his hockey. Fond childhood memories for Billy were spent in the summer running free on the beach with his siblings and cousins, David and Tommy Argier. As years went on, Billy lived a life that at times posed challenges. Billy's sister Wendy always had an open door for Billy and he had tremendous fun with her kids growing up. They loved their Uncle Billy. Eventually Billy circled back to help look after his aging parents. Billy's compassion and support helped his parents age in place and live out their years in the beloved family cottage. These were some of Billy's happiest years. Good friends were made with Val and Chet Klos, Bruce and Nancy Hipkiss, cottage friends and neighbours and his fishing friends. Billy had the magical ability to make friends with anyone. His kind and patient nature was endearing to many. Those cottage years were busy with gardening and landscaping as he happily worked alongside dad. With Billy around any task or chore was fun to do. Always funny, Billy had great timing and had many expressions and faces that entertained us all. Billy spent much time with his brother and family in these years, travelling to Las Vegas numerous times, regular trips to Rama, and a number of trips to Edmonton. Billy loved his family and he was the "fun" uncle to all his nieces and nephews. Everyone loved it when Uncle Billy was over.

The family wishes to thank Southlake Regional Health Centre for their compassion and care of our dear Billy. Sadly, cancer took him from us quickly but we are grateful he passed away in peace. The family also extends a very special thanks to Bruce and Nancy Hipkiss for their fun loving friendship with Billy over the years and to Wendy and John for looking after Billy and communicating with family during Billy's final months.

Rest in peace Billy.....mom and dad have the tea on and they have poured you a cup. We will miss you but are so grateful that you have left us with so many laughs, tears, and memories to cherish forever.
