It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that our family announces the passing of Christine Penchion on March 5, 2025 at the age of 78 years, surrounded by her husband and children at the Margaret Bahen Hospice.
Loving and devoted wife to Keith for the past 53 years. Proud and supportive mother of Jane Penchion, Liz Waddington (Penchion), and Kevin Penchion. Adoring Mother-in-law to Rae Penchion (Graham), Mike Waddington, and Sara Penchion (Vallée). Cherished grandmother to Kiera, Brayden, Tessa and Hailey. Predeceased by her sister Barbara Daniel (Wilson), and her parents Joan and John Wilson.
Christine's love knew no bounds and her commitment to her family never wavered, making her a pillar of quiet strength and a role model for those fortunate enough to have her in their lives. Whether through her thoughtful advice or simply her patient presence, Christine made everyone around her feel loved and cared for.
She took great pride in spending time with all of her grandchildren. The genuine joy in her smile set a lasting impression on everyone she met.
The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Chris, be it bird watching down south with her husband, or line dancing with anyone who would join her - or simply on her own, her ability to make the best of every situation will forever influence our lives through all the successes and challenges that life has to offer.
The family will receive all those who wish to celebrate Chris’ life at the Taylor Funeral Home in Newmarket at a later date in the spring.
