Passed peacefully at Mt Sinai Hospital Toronto on Sunday May 26, in his 71 st year, with his family at his side. Son of the late Joseph Wittmann and the late Maria Jurtschat. Soulmate and husband of 48 years to Lynne. Proud and loving father to Jen (Michael Eggert) and Justin (Jocelyn Myers). Super Papa to Liam, Aidan and Adalyn. Beloved brother of Frank (Linda), Cathy(Bob Ramsli), Elisabeth(Roland Bonke) and brother in law to Ron Baliski(Sharon), Kathy Baliski and the late Steve Baliski.
Successful and proud owner of ViewTech Window and Door in Belleville until his retirement in 2015. Joe’s retirement life was full- he enjoyed spending time with the grandkids, and summers at the cottage at Pioneer Point. Joe was an avid traveller and instilled the travel bug in his children. If he wasn’t travelling, he was busy planning his next great adventure. He loved his European vacations, Florida holidays with friends, RVing and cruising.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Service to be held at 1 pm Saturday June 1st at the Taylor Funeral Home, 524 Davis Drive Newmarket, Reception to follow.
