April 27, 1950 – February 11, 2025

Passed away peacefully after a graceful and courageous battle, with his family by his side at Margaret Bahen Hospice on Tuesday, February 11, 2025. Beloved husband of Janet (Chaplin), loving father of Sarah (Chelsey), Chris (Shannon) and Jeff. Proud grandpa of Maddison and Abigail McLellan. He will be greatly missed by his sister Dawn Pappas, brother Steven McLellan, sister Carol Rossiter and brother Brian MacInnis. Sadly missed by in laws and great friends John & Chris Chaplin and Liz & Rob Coulbeck and many nieces and nephews.

Dave was a proud, straightforward man who loved the simple things in life. A glass of wine, some good music, a bowl of soup with sourdough bread and a newspaper and he was content. He loved to travel and was never happier than in Nova Scotia - especially at Five Islands Provincial Park. We are lucky enough to have been blessed with a lifetime of happy memories of Dad at the cottage on Cordova Lake. We will miss his witty sense of humour, his gentleness and his quiet strength.

Funeral service and celebration of Dave’s life will be held on Friday, February 21st 2025, at Roadhouse and Rose Funeral Home, 157 Main Street South, Newmarket. Visitation will be at 11:00 am and service at 12:00 pm with reception to follow. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to Margaret Bahen Hospice in Newmarket.
