With deep sadness, we announce the passing of Sylvia Joyce Lowman (née Perrin) on Saturday, August 31st, at Eldon of Bradford, at the age of 90.

Born in Toronto to Charles and Phyllis Perrin, Sylvia attended Malvern Secondary School and often reminisced fondly about her time with the "Malvern Girls."
She spent her adult years in Barrie, Richmond Hill, Keswick, and Holland Landing. Sylvia worked for many years as the guidance secretary at Richmond Hill High School before earning her bachelor’s degree in social work from York University. She went on to work with Georgina Family Life, where her compassion and dedication made a lasting impact.

Sylvia had a deep love for travel, playing bridge, and gardening. Her love for animals lives on through her grandchildren.

She was the beloved mother of David, Christopher (Jane), Gary (predeceased), and James (Carolyn); a cherished grandmother to Brandy, Johnathon, Andrew (Courtney), Jessica, Jack, and Paige; and a proud great-grandmother (GG) to Elias and Owen.

A celebration of Sylvia’s life will be held at Taylor Funeral Home, 524 Davis Drive, Newmarket, 647-697-7368 on Sunday September 22nd, 2024 from 1:30 until 4:30 pm.
