Our mother passed peacefully with her children by her side at Margaret Bahen Hospice, Newmarket, in the morning of Sat May 25th.

Our Mom had an amazing 88 years on this earth and told us not to grieve her passing but Celebrate her full life.

Our mom was a “One of a Kind Lady”, who touched many lives.

Mom was born in Orillia to parents Leslie and Jennie Rimkay and had 6 siblings, Joan, Jean, Jerry, Bob, Sandy and Sharon (two of whom she is rejoicing in
heaven with).

Married to our father, Carl Alvin Longfield on November 15, 1952 at the age of 16 and by the age of 29, had 6 kids- Debbie McCandless, Cindy Milligan (Larry), Sherry Longfield, Patti Hawreliak (Darrell), Richard Longfield (Janice), Tammy Longfield-Chiang (Mauro) where the Town of Sharon became their last residence
as a family together.

Our family continued to grow with 15 Grandchildren, Kelly McCandless (Toni), Shawn McCandless (Kristy), Carla Lancaster, Edward James Trenkl (Adriane), Corah Ann Milligan, Vanessa Lee Milligan (Corey), Breanne Krall (Jesse), Jenny Van der Laan, Jason Hawreliak (Crystal), Michael Hawreliak, Matthew Longfield
(Natalie), Luke Longfield (Sarah), Jacob Chiang (Sheryl), Jesse Chiang (Marissa), Jayden Chiang, plus 26 Great Grandchildren.

Mom was saddened by the death of our father when he passed at the age of 46 years old. Our mother would go on to grieve the passing of 2 other partners, Don Pettit and Jack Rush and leaves her 4th partner Colin MacKay heartbroken. [and Colin’s children Douglas (Sandy),  Robert, Heather, and grandson Parker (Kristen)]

Mom worked at Green Acres (now known as Newmarket Health Centre) for many years as a PSW, then as a Recreation Director for the same Nursing Home and went back to school in her late 40’s to get her RPN.

Our mother loved Elvis Presley and fitting that the church she came to love and become an active member of was Christ the King Graceland, with Rev Dorian
Baxter, also known as Elvis Priestly.

To all who knew our mother, “HOWDY” 🎶 with hugs and kisses.

Cremation has taken place as per our Mom’s Wishes.

Celebration of Life:

We will be having a private ceremony at a later date to bury her ashes with our father.

In lieu of flowers, donations would be greatly appreciated in honour of Patricia’s name to a charity of your choice, or Margaret Bahen Hospice.

 With much Love❤️
