16-Jun-1951 - 02-Mar-2025
It is with profound sadness that we share the news of the passing of Alan Lindsay on March 2, 2025. Alan fought a long hard battle with cancer. He leaves behind his wife Veronica, his daughters Pamela (Brad) and Joanne (Mike), along with his grandchildren: Sydney, Brett, Scott, Ryan and Justin.
Born in Dundee, Scotland on June 16, 1951, Alan began his journey as an apprentice at Seafield Tool and Gauge before making the decision to emigrate to Canada in 1974. Throughout his career as a tool and die maker, Alan’s dedication and expertise led him to become the General Manager of MSM in Woodbridge, a position he held with immense pride and respect. One of his most meaningful legacies is the MSM Golf Tournament, a charity event he founded to support SickKids Hospital, which continues to make a difference in the lives of children today.
After retiring in 2013, Alan found joy in the simple pleasures of life, whether it was enjoying a round of golf or using his remarkable skills to fix anything that needed repair.
Alan will be greatly missed by his family and friends. His lasting impression, words of wisdom and his sense of humour will remain in our hearts forever.
In his memory, donations can be made to SickKids Hospital.
A celebration of Alan’s life will be held on Wednesday, March 19, 2025 from 1-4pm at EVENTMRKT, 352 Doug Duncan Drive, Newmarket, Ontario L3Y 0C1 (365) 337-0103
