Enn Laagus passed away unexpectedly on Friday, March 7, 2025 at Simcoe Hospice from an aggressive cancer with his loving wife by his side. He is survived by his beloved wife and nephews Mart and Paul and his wife Martina and their children Rachel, Jenna, Liana.
At the Age of six he had to flee war torn Estonia with his mother and younger Brother to Germany and eventually to Canada where his stepfather got work in the mines in Kirkland Lake. After getting an education and living in Kirkland Lake for a few years the family moved to Toronto. Enn got a job with the formerly known as Ontario Hydro where he worked as a civil engineer for thirty years.
In retirement he enjoyed spending summers at his cottage that he built together with his Brother. He liked to repair and build things until fifteen years Ago he got lymphoma. Fortunately he had chemotherapy and was in remission until this incurable cancer took him. Now his journey came to an end.
