Passed away peacefully, with her family by her side, at the Meadows of Aurora, on Friday, January 10, 2025 in her 90th year.
Loving wife of John Kassies for over 67 years. Loving mother of Ron (Mandy), Irene (Ian), and Robert (Barbara). Proud Oma of Samantha (Luke), Erika, Brandon (Meghan), Jordan (Kathryn), and David. Great-grandmother of Dean. Daughter of the late Folkert and Trijnte van der Wal. Fondly remembered by her family and friends.
Ann's greatest love was her family - nothing would bring her more happiness than having her family around her at celebrations and get togethers.
The family would like to thank the wonderful staff, nurses, and doctors at the Meadows of Aurora for their outstanding care and compassion.
A private interment will be held at the Pine Orchard Friends Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the Roadhouse & Rose Funeral Home (157 Main Street South, Newmarket, Ontario) on Wednesday, January 15, 2025 from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m., followed by a memorial service at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel.
