June 16th, 1946 - March 11th, 2025
Passed away peacefully at Southlake Regional Health Centre in Newmarket on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, in her 79th year. Loving wife of Terry for 52 years. Beloved mother of Jamie (Jen), Suzanne (Mike) and Darren (Lisa). Wonderful “Grandma Wendy” to Julia, Elise, Jeremy and Josh. Sister of the late Sandy Levi, Carolyn Hill, the late Jim Hill (Wanda) and Ron Hill (Ann Mary).
Predeceased by parents James Roy Hill and Honor Elizabeth Hill (Fowler). Fondly remembered by her niece and nephews along with her many friends.
Wendy was an elementary school teacher for many years in Scarborough and Keswick. She was a member of the Lioness Club and Swans Club with her sister Carolyn for many years, working to make her community a better place. Wendy seemed to have endless energy and was always willing to help in whatever needed doing. She was not one to sit idle in retirement and had many part time jobs, including interior painting and catering. She loved to spend time in her garden, watch her grandsons play hockey and go on family cruises.
Special thanks to the fabulous staff of Community and Home Assistance to Seniors (CHATS) Bradford who run a day program that enriched Wendy’s life in the last couple of years. Thank you also to the staff at Southlake.
