Passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 19th after a courageous battle with cancer. Carol was surrounded by her family and the terrific staff at Margaret Bahen Hospice. She will be lovingly remembered by husband Leo, her daughters Kelly and Kate, her son-in-laws Josh and Brad, and her beloved granddaughters Hailey and Hannah.
Carol will be very much missed by her siblings Bev (John), George (Sherry), Jim, Mike (Julie), and their children and grandchildren. In addition, the Hawkes family Michael (Cathy), Ken (deceased), Mary (Denis), Marlene, Vincent (Joan), Louise (Paul), and Joe (Tilly) and their children and grandchildren will feel her loss deeply.
In fighting her disease was supported by Dr. White and her outstanding colleagues at Royal Victoria Hospital (Hudson Regional Cancer Centre) in Barrie and Dr. Baguio along with his equally talented team at Southlake Hospital (Stronach Cancer Centre) and the Margaret Bahen Hospice.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Taylor Funeral Home in Newmarket at a later date (spring 2025). In lieu of flowers, donations to the Margaret Bahen Hospice or to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
