HARRISON, Edward Roy

Passed away peacefully at Amica Little Lake retirement community in Barrie, on Saturday February 22nd, 2025, in his 88th year. Loving husband of Patricia Gail for 58 years, beloved father of Brad (Alison) and Jon (Shellie). Brother of the late Doug (Chris). Dear son of the late Frank and Grace. Born in London England, Roy was raised in Hamilton, ON where he was educated at McMaster University with a bachelors degree in physical education. He then attended the University of Florida achieving his masters degree in physical education and health. Roy began teaching at Markham District High School and spent most of his career at Newmarket High School teaching Phys. Ed and Math. Roy had a deep passion for basketball and golf which led to him enjoying much of his retirement as a marshal at both Cardinal and Shawneeki golf courses. The family wishes to thank the staff of Amica Little Lake and The Hudson Regional Cancer Program in Barrie for their care and compassion.

A celebration of life will be held at the Roadhouse & Rose Funeral Home, 157 Main St. S., Newmarket on Saturday March 22 from 1-3pm.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to RVH Foundation.
