May 23rd, 1940 - February 22nd, 2025
On February 22, 2025 at Margaret Bahen Hospice in Newmarket, Ontario we said our final goodbye to our beloved Brian. Brian fought the cancer battle hard, but it was very aggressive and already at stage 4 when it was discovered on January 7th.
Brian was a loving husband to the late Noreen Wright (deceased 1987). They had 3 beautiful children: Michele (Andre Cadieux), Michael (deceased 2011) and Nichole. Brian became the loving husband to Linda (Harrison-Paisley). They enjoyed 35 years together. Brian was a kind and quiet step-father to Michele (Shawn Scott) and Tom Paisley (Janice). Brian was a proud Poppa to 11 grandchildren: Cassandre (Bryan Wilson), Mat "Chewy" (Felicia), Josh (Alexandra Cheryl), Adrienne (Scott), Mackenzie (Quin) Kaleb Sebastian, Hayden, Emma (Tyler), Laura and Lily and Great Poppa to 7 great grandchildren:
Oliver, Anders, Ben, Jake, Paisley, Adeline and Bowen. He was always proud of all their achievements and was the first to brag about them.
Brian was born in a small town in Northern England called Accrington. He and his mum Bertha immigrated to Canada in 1951. The crossing from Southampton to Halifax took 5 days. From Halifax they rode the train to Toronto. In Toronto they shared a room in a rooming house. Later they moved to Woodbridge, Ontario. Brian made a lot of good, lasting friendships in this area.
Brian had a degree in Mechanical Drafting, which he never used, as he went into Civil, Architectural and Topographical, etc. Brian took special delight in making all things beautiful. He loved working on his trailer, always coming up with a new idea to improve it. Brian was a faithful A.A. member and took his sobriety very seriously. He was the treasurer for his Mount Albert group for 17 years. He loved and felt a special connection with his many friends at A.A.
Brian will be missed by all who knew him. he had a big extended family who thought the world of him. I would like to thank all the nurses, volunteers and doctors that lovingly took care of Brian at Margaret Bahen Hospice. If you would desire to make a donation in Brian's name to Margaret Bahen Hospice that woud be greatly appreciated.
Rest peacefully my sweet darling.
Honouring Brian's wishes cremation has taken place and no service, no funeral, no celebration and most of all "no fuss".
