Passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, at Southlake Regional Health Centre, in Newmarket, on Tuesday, February 18, 2025 at 67 years of age.
Loving husband of Susan for 45 years. Beloved father of Daniel (Cindy) and Ryan (Meghan).
Proud grandfather of Jordan, Mason, and Georgia.
Beloved brother of Doreen (Joe) and Lucy (Ross). Loving uncle of Amanda, Kala (Elijah), Sammie, Alex (Alyssa), Michael (Kamila), and Marco.
Dear son of the late Jose Carlos and Maria Fernanda.
Charlie started working at the age of 15. He enjoyed a vibrant working career in the dairy industry for 52 years, where he made many lifelong friends. He adored his grandchildren. Spending cherished times with his grandsons, Jordan and Mason, at their hockey and baseball games and tournaments. He loved playing with his granddaughter Georgia, drinking her pretend coffee and being her favourite sticker recipient. He was a devoted and loving father to Danny and Ryan, imparting on them his humour, patience, and love of sports. Susan was his world, whom he would do anything for. Their love and commitment to each other was nothing short of inspiring.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the incredibly caring nurses and doctors at Southlake that went above and beyond in caring for Charlie and the family.
Friends may call at the Roadhouse & Rose Funeral Home, 157 Main Street South, Newmarket, on Friday, February 21, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., and Saturday, February 22 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. A funeral service will be held in the chapel at 11:00 a.m. followed by a reception.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Stronach Cancer Centre via the Southlake Foundation.
