It is with great sadness that our family announces the passing of Wyman Cole in his 69th year after a long and courageous battle with ALS. He passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 23, 2024, with his sister and two brothers at his side.
Wyman was a loving father to his two daughters Dallas and Aiden; and he adored his granddaughter Luna. He will be sadly missed by his sister Wendy and brothers David and Barry; his sisters-in-law Gail and Ann-Marie and brother-in-law Jamie. Wyman will also be greatly missed by his nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles
Wyman was a successful, self taught Software Architect who focused primarily on the broadcast industry. Wyman also had a life long unrequited love for the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Wyman will be remembered as being a free spirit with a kind and caring heart. He was always thinking of others and even while struggling with the devastating effects of ALS managed to find innovative ways to maintain contact. Wyman fought his ALS with everything he had and never let it diminish his spirit or sense of humour.

The family wishes to express our heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Southlake Residential Care Village. It was clear that Wyman had developed a special relationship with many of the caregivers as they frequently and cheerfully went above and beyond in addressing his many unique needs.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Taylor Funeral Home, 524 Davis Drive Newmarket on Friday, June 14, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. Words of Remembrance will be shared at 2:00 p.m.

A private interment will take place at a later date in accordance with Wyman’s wishes to rest with his mom, dad and eldest brother Brian.
