Passed away at her home on Thursday, February 20, in her 92nd year.

Beloved wife of the late Ron Adams. Predeceased by dear daughter Sharon Adams Dean (Terry). Dear mother of Marney Curran (Gary), and special “Grams” to Stefanie Earle (Devon) and Trevor (Ana Brito).

Ruth was born in Toronto and became a secretary, serving for a short time with the Canadian Army before pursuing a career with General Motors of Canada in Oshawa, Toronto, and Vancouver. Ruth married Ron Adams in Toronto in 1954. In 1957 they moved to Brantford where Ron began a fulfilling teaching career at the Ontario School for the Blind, (now WRMS) for the next thirty years. A committed Christian, Ruth considered it a privilege to be part of the “faith family” at Yorkminster Park Baptist Church since moving to Newmarket. She often commented on the love and support extended to her by this wonderful group of people. She loved people, and found her deepest fulfillment by encouraging others, and whenever able, to help in any way.

Visitation at the Roadhouse and Rose Funeral Home, 157 Main St. S., Newmarket on Saturday March 15, 2-4pm. Visitation at Yorkminster Park Baptist Church, 1585 Yonge St., Toronto on Thursday March 20, 1-2pm prior to a memorial service at 2pm.
