More than 350 kids from three Newmarket schools took part in the annual Jumpstart Games yesterday, with Olympic bobsledder Cynthia Appiah and Paralympic para ice hockey player Billy Bridges providing inspiration.
Students from Maple Leaf, Meadowbrook and Prince Charles public schools enjoyed a fun-filled day with activities and lunch, thanks to Canadian Tire Jumpstart Charities and local Canadian Tire dealer Wayne Ford.
The students rotated through six activity stations, including kin ball, soccer, dance, obstacle courses and bocce, at Ray Twinney Recreation Complex.
