Newmarket Folk Society presents Dala: Newmarket Folk Society kicks off its 2025 season with Amanda Walther and Sheila Carabine of Juno nominees and winners of the 2010 Canadian Folk Music Award for Vocal Group of the Year Dala. Darlings of the Canadian music scene, Dala are now poised to bring their fresh brand of acoustic pop music to the world. Dala’s latest album, Best Day, was nominated for three Canadian Folk Music Awards: English Songwriter of the Year, Vocal Group of the Year and Producer of the Year. John Sheard's Salute to the Beatles: Aurora Cultural Centre celebrates 15 years with a Beatles Tribute at Davide DeSimone Performance Hall at Aurora Town Square at 7:30 p.m. Back by popular demand, legendary piano man John Sheard is joined by favourite performers from his past shows, including Mia Sheard, David Celia, Steve Briggs, Denis Pendrith, and Ryan Granville-Martin.
