Walk-in pop-up clinics available in Sutton, Whitchurch-Stouffville this weekend

Pfizer vaccines will be offered at the 'family-friendly' clinics in school parking lots

You can pop in for a first or second COVID-19 vaccine dose at clinics in Sutton and Whitchurch-Stouffville this weekend.

York Region Public Health is hosting walk-in "family friendly" pop-up clinics offering the Pfizer mRNA vaccine in the parking lots at Sutton District High School Saturday, July 24 and at Stouffville District High School on Sunday, July 25, both open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Walk-ins will be accepted, however appointments are available for those who prefer to book in advance, according to regional spokesperson Patrick Casey.

Sutton District High School is at 20798 Dalton Rd. in Georgina; Stouffville District High School is at 801 Hoover Park Dr. in Whitchurch-Stouffville.

York Region is now also offering walk-ins for first and second doses at most of its clinics; for a list of clinics and hours, visit york.ca/covid19vaccine  

Appointments remain available at these clinics for those who prefer to book in advance; both the Pfizer and Moderna mRNA vaccine is available, he added.

To date, 80.4 per cent of York Region residents age 12 and older have received their first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine and 67.8 per cent of residents age 12 and older are now fully vaccinated, Casey said.
