The Amazing Adventure race-style car rally returns Oct. 20 in support of CHATS-Community & Home Assistance to Seniors.
The family-friendly event involves people of all ages, friends, businesses, and community groups who gather in teams in search of checkpoints around the northern end of York Region.
A new route will take participants through Aurora, Newmarket, East Gwillimbury and Georgina. The event will begin at the CHATS head office in Aurora and finish at Market Brewing Company in Newmarket.
The theme is Western, and participants can wear flannel, jeans, hats, and boots, or be creative. The best belt buckle may win a prize.
“Fundraisers like the Amazing Adventure helps CHATS to provide older adults with programs and services that enable them to live well, independently and with dignity in their own communities,” said Christina Bisanz, CEO of CHATS.
“We’re so grateful to have the support of our community through events like this, to enable us to offer fun and engaging social activities for those who may otherwise be experiencing loneliness and isolation,” she added.
"Buckle up for an epic adventure, unravel puzzles, complete challenges, and fill your passport to victory honouring our in-home heroes," a CHATS news release stated.
