The City of Richmond Hill is developing community improvement plan for affordable housing and sustainable design to establish financial programs to incentivize more affordable and sustainably designed housing.
Richmond Hill residents and the development community are invited to a virtual open house Tuesday, June 18 from 7 to 8 p.m. and an in-person and virtual council meeting Tuesday, June 25 at 7 p.m. to learn more about how this plan can provide more affordable housing options for residents and how sustainable design will aim to improve our environment, a city news release stated.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to share their ideas.
"Many Richmond Hill residents are experiencing housing affordability challenges and climate change is bringing more severe weather that disrupts our community and our environment," the city stated.
Register for the June 18 virtual open house meeting here.
The June 25 council public meeting (in-person & virtual) takes place in council chambers of the Municipal Offices at 225 East Beaver Creek Rd.
