Resident pistol-whipped during East Gwillimbury home invasion

Two suspects were caught on camera breaking into the home at Charlotte Abby Drive and Holland Landing Road at midnight yesterday

A resident of an East Gwillimbury home was pistol-whipped by a suspect during a home invasion on Wednesday night.

York Regional Police were called to a home in the area of Charlotte Abby Drive and Holland Landing Road at midnight on Feb. 14 for a home invasion.

A resident at the home told police that several men broke into the residence armed with guns and one of the residents was pistol-whipped while a man demanded money.

Police said that the suspects took various valuables and then fled in a light-coloured vehicle.

One man was treated for minor injuries and no one else was injured during the incident, police said.

Police said that the suspects are described as males, wearing masks, dark clothing, and hoodies, and were caught on video.

Investigators would like to speak to anyone with video surveillance or dashcam footage in the area at the time of the incident.
