World Elder Abuse Awareness Day is observed each year on June 15.
This year, to honour our clients and create awareness, CHATS Program Coordinator Linda Ind set in motion a photo contest and requested that everyone wear purple to show their support. Here are some of our favourite photos!
CHATS is dedicated to supporting our more than 8,500 clients throughout York Region and South Simcoe. We offer a variety of educational workshops, including some on elder abuse, and have representation on the Prevention of Elder Abuse Committee of York Region.
