Portrait of Giving honours inspirational citizens at 2022 finale

The 13th annual Portraits of Giving finale will celebrate the 17 newest honourees for this year who have given back to their communities across York Region.

Honourees past and present will attend the finale celebration, which takes place at the Sheraton Parkway Toronto North Hotel  & Suites in Richmond Hill on Wednesday, Nov. 23 from 6 to 8:30 p.m., as the final stop of the awards tour across the region. 

"This year, Portraits of Giving is celebrating the courage, resilience and perseverance of 17 more outstanding honourees from across York Region who exemplify the importance of corporate and social responsibility," said awards founder and photographer Karen Merk.

Ticket proceeds of this year’s Portraits of Giving finale will support Red Cross, aiding families in Ukraine, and Canadian Feed the  Children.

The honourees are:

  • Georgina Beth Cowper-Fung  
  • Newmarket Peter Sturrup  
  • Aurora Marco Iacovetta  
  • Richmond Hill Pamela and Harry Harakh  
  • Stouffville Dean and Karen Woods  
  • King Susan Heslop-Porter
