Southbound Main Street in Newmarket is temporarily closed for an emergency sewer repair on Wednesday, June 9.
The road is closed just south of the Grey Goat Pub between Queen and Ontario streets.
Traffic is being redirected to detour at Simcoe Street.
Northbound traffic will not be impacted by this closure.
The lane is expected to re-open by this evening but may need to close again tomorrow for the work to be completed, according to Wanda Bennett, director of corporate communications for the Town of Newmarket.
