POLL: Most say Trudeau should go, and want early election

After a turbulent week in Ottawa, very large majorities of readers say that Canada needs a federal election before October of 2025, the latest date it could legally be held, and also that it's time for Justin Trudeau to announce plans to end his term as leader of the federal Liberals

After a turbulent week in Ottawa, very large majorities of readers say that Canada needs a federal election before October of 2025, the latest date it could legally be held, and also that it's time for Justin Trudeau to announce plans to end his term as leader of the federal Liberals. 

The differences in the poll mostly appear in sex and federal voting intention.

Women were somewhat less likely to want Trudeau to leave, though the difference shouldn't be overstated:

Inevitably, the biggest differences were based on federal voting intention: Conservatives hungry for an election, Liberals least enthusiastic, and New Democrats and everybody else somewhere in between:
