A section of Bristol Road in Newmarket will be closed as of Dec. 14 for construction work. The closure is expected to last until Dec. 21.
The road will be closed between Malvern Crescent and Burford Crescent. This is to allow for a water chamber installation.
The closure starts at 8 a.m. on Dec. 14 and is expected to last until Dec. 21. However, the town said completion of the work is weather dependent and there is a possibility it could be done before Dec. 21.
Drivers in that area will have to detour down Burford or Malvern to avoid the closed section.
