Newmarket resident and local real estate broker Wasim Jarrah vows to continue to "fight to bring affordability home" as he joins the Ontario Real Estate Association as a director for central Ontario realtors.
“As a newly elected director at OREA, I look forward to working with realtors across the province, from Toronto to Thunder Bay and beyond, to help Ontario families find great places to live, work and thrive,” said Jarrah in a news release. “We will continue to advocate and fight to bring affordability home and help future generations of homeowners make their dream a reality.”
The Aurora-based broker was elected to a two-year term following the association’s annual conference March 30.
The central Ontario area includes Brampton, Durham Region, Mississauga, Oakville-Milton, Orangeville and Toronto area.
Active in real estate for 14 years, Jarrah is a broker with Keller Williams Realty Centres in Aurora. He is a member of the Toronto Regional Real Estate Board (TRREB), where he served as a member of the GRC, diversity and inclusion, and MLS technology committees. He also served as a member of the GRC and ORP committees at OREA.
The Ontario Real Estate Association represents 92,000 brokers and salespeople who are members of the 36 real estate boards throughout the province. OREA serves its realtor members through a wide variety of professional publications, educational programs, advocacy, and other services.
