Gather your furry friends for two days of fun at a family-friendly dog festival next month.

The Town of Newmarket will host New'bark'et at Lions Park, at 424 D'Arcy St., on Sept. 7 and 8 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day. It will feature a variety of activities for dog owners, lovers, and four-legged animals to enjoy.

Dogs can cool off from the heat at the Pooch Plunge at Gorman Outdoor Pool for $5 per dog.

Dog owners can see how agile their pet is at a DogLoversDay Lure course.

Children can participate in face painting, dog caricatures, a photo booth, a balloon twister, and an inflatable for children.

Entertainment will be provided by Aqua Dogs where pets will participate in dock diving.

Vendors will provide items for dogs to enjoy throughout Church Street, between D'Arcy Street and Eagle Street and dogs can run free at a fenced, off-leash dog park.  There will also be food, beverages, and treats to purchase from vendors.
