Buchner Manufacturing Inc., a family-owned Canadian manufacturer and distributor of exterior building products, has donated $50,000 to food banks across Ontario, including the Newmarket Food Pantry.

The $50,000 donation was distributed equally among the communities surrounding Buchner’s branches in Pefferlaw, Newmarket, Kingston, Owen Sound, and North Bay, with each community receiving $10,000, according to a company news release.

“Our company has deep roots in these communities, and we’re honoured to support the vital work of local food banks,” said John Buchner, president of Buchner Manufacturing. “This donation reflects our ongoing commitment to giving back and helping those who need it most.”

Since 1979, Buchner Manufacturing has been dedicated to strengthening the communities it serves. In addition to this donation, the company sponsors local sports teams, supports hospitals, and organizes drives to collect non-perishable food items and other essential supplies at their branches and through scheduled deliveries, the news release said.

“We’re proud to support the communities that have supported us for over four decades. This donation is a reflection of our commitment to helping our neighbours in times of need, and we’re grateful for the opportunity to make a difference,” said Jeremy Buchner, vice-president of sales and marketing.
