Mulock Drive at Yonge Street in Newmarket will remain closed following a tractor trailer fire earlier tonight.
Mulock is closed east of Yonge to Sandford Drive overnight while the cleanup continues, according to York Regional Police.
The driver was able to escape the truck uninjured.
The cab area of the Metro truck was engulfed in flames at about 6 p.m.
Police are advising motorist to avoid the area this evening.
