Saying “yes” to ENCORE paid off for Ronald Bogart of Aurora. Ronald matched the last six of seven ENCORE numbers in exact order in the July 31, 2021 LOTTO 6/49 draw to win $100,000!
"I've been playing the lottery since LOTTO 6/49 started. I always add ENCORE," shared Ronald while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up his winnings.
Ronald, a finance worker, checked his tickets using the OLG App. "I saw the Big Winner screen and immediately felt disbelief," he smiled. "I kept the news to myself for a few days. I've been waiting until the cheque is in my hand until I tell my family the big news."
Ronald plans to save his win for retirement and travel when it's safe. "Maybe I will even treat myself to business class," he said.
"I was thrilled by this win. It's a wonderful feeling after this year of uncertainty."
ENCORE offers 22 ways to win and can be played in conjunction with most lottery games for an extra $1. There is an ENCORE draw every day.
OLG is currently booking in-person prize claim appointments at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto only for those claims that require a face-to-face interview. Customers with prizes over $50,000 are asked to call 1-800-387-0098 to discuss available prize claim options. Prize claims up to $49,999.90 should continue to be submitted by mail.
