Magna International Inc. is proud to be celebrating the 31st Magna Hoedown on Friday, Sept. 13 and Saturday, Sept. 14, 2019.
The Magna Hoedown is the largest annual fundraiser in York Region, having raised over $13 million in its 31-year history. This year, 20 York Region charities, non-profits, and community groups have been selected as recipients of the Hoedown proceeds. Collectively, these organizations support over 116,000 York Region residents.
Saturday, Sept. 14 – We’re returnin’ to the Hoedown’s roots and starting the evening with special country Tribute Artists and a Showcase of Magna Hoedown Showdown winners to get the party going.
Place your bids on the incredible silent auction items, enjoy a delicious Texas-style barbecue dinner, and see if you won the Prospector’s Raffle $100,000 grand prize.
And end the night by partying away with the Hoedown fan favourite, headliner James Barker Band. All attendees in the tent at 6:30, 7:30, and 8:30 p.m. will be eligible to win special door prize draws.
The James Barker Band is returning to the Hoedown stage and back by popular demand after performing in 2017!
With over 110 million total global streams, this Juno and CCMA Award-winning country band have taken the country music scene by storm since forming in 2013. Their six gold-certified hit singles have all made it into the top-10 at Canadian country radio including two #1s for Chills and Keep It Simple.
This past spring, James Barker Band released their second album, Singles Only, which included their current hit single release There’s A Drink for That. They are currently travelling across North America playing for fans at summer music festivals coast-to-coast.
