The three people who were rushed to hospital after a deadly stabbing in East Gwillimbury on Saturday are expected to survive their injuries, according to the York Regional Police.
One 38-year-old woman was killed, and a 37-year-old male suspect was shot dead by police on Saturday afternoon in Mount Albert. Three other victims, a two-year-old boy, a four-year-old boy, and a 35-year-old woman, were taken to hospital with serious injuries and are now expected to survive.
No additional details about the people involved or what happened at the house have been released. The Ontario Special Investigations Unit are investigating the circumstances of the man's death.
Residents can expect a continued police presence in the neighbourhood as the investigation continues.
