Aurora Christmas Market: Aurora's Christmas Market will be returning to town this year, but for the first time in the newly opened Town Square from 5 to 9 p.m. The event will feature hands-on workshops and activities, fantastic seasonal vendors and food vendors. Nov. 30 and Dec. 1

Newmarket Group Of Artists Holiday Show & Sale: The Newmarket Group of Artists holds its annual show and sale Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Old Town Hall, 460 Botsford St., Newmarket. This year’s event has 25 participating artists, as well as vendors and a conceptual show on display.

Saturday, Nov. 30

Pickering College Seasonal Boutique Holiday Market: The annual event features dozens of local vendors showcasing the best gifts for the holiday season. This is a wonderful opportunity to get started on your holiday shopping by visiting some local, market style vendors, featuring: jewelry, apparel, candles, skin care, home decor, handbags, artisanal and specialty foods items and more. This event is free to the public and hosted on the picturesque Pickering College campus on Bayview Avenue in Newmarket from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. 

Annual Christmas Market: Newmarket Main St. Farmers' Market is putting on a Christmas market featuring food from local farms and artisans. The event is being hosted at Newmarket Community Centre, located at 200 Doug Duncan Dr. from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Saturday, Dec. 7 

Old Fashioned Christmas Craft Show: The Grandparent Connection presents its ninth annual Christmas craft show. The show features over 70 local crafters and artisans, prizes, live performances a Christmas cafe and more. The show will also have a display by Routes Connecting Communities. The show will run at the Newmarket Community Centre at 200 Doug Duncan Dr. from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Fireside Munsch: A Very Merry Munsch-mas:  M. John Kennedy performs four of famed children's author Robert Munsch’s classic stories (I Have to Go, Thomas’ Snowsuit, Finding Christmas, and Sounds Like Christmas), combining them into one "wacky storytelling play," according to the Aurora Cultural Centre. The show is on at 2 p.m. at Aurora Town Square, located at 50 Victoria St. Tickets are $25, with family packs available. More information can be found online.

The Toronto Welsh Male Voice Choir Christmas Concert: The choir is coming to Bethel Community Church at 333 Davis Dr. in Newmarket. Proceeds will go to the Stephen Lewis Foundation Grandmothers to Grandmothers Campaign. Tickets are $30. Stouffville Santa Claus Parade: Stouffville's annual parade will travel down Main Street, starting at 6 p.m. at Ninth Line and heading east on Main Street all the way to Park Drive. Elves will be collecting letters to Santa along the route.

Sunday, Dec. 8 

The Music of A Charlie Brown Christmas: Theatre Aurora is putting on this heartwarming performance of featuring a selection of songs from A Charlie Brown Christmas at 2 p.m. at 150 Henderson Dr. Buy tickets here.

Dec. 14 and 15

The Artisans' Holiday Show and Sale: The annual event is a celebration of Canadian handmade art and craftsmanship, offering a unique selection of works from talented artisans and creators for holiday gifts on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Old Town Hall, 460 Botsford St., Newmarket.

Dec. 15 

Holiday Centrepiece Workshop: Old Flame Brewery is hosting the workshop at 140 Main St S with Perennial Petals. This in-person event will guide you through creating stunning centrepieces for your holiday celebrations.. Get into the holiday spirit and add a personal touch to your table decorations this season. Create your own evergreen centrepiece or mantle piece. They will guide you through the steps so you get to take home a unique piece you can admire until well after the holidays. Tickets $73

Fridays and Saturdays until Dec. 21

Niemi Scandinavian Christmas Market: Niemi Family Farm offers a Christmas market every Friday and Saturday until Dec. 21. The market in Mount Albert will feature local vendors, bakery, gift shop, Santa meet and greet, Christmas trees, a Christmas train and more. The market is at 18463 Highway 48 and runs every Friday and Saturday from noon to 8 p.m.
