Richmond Hill will be hosting its first ever heritage summit next month.
In partnership with Richmond Hill Historical Society, it will feature a mix-and-mingle event where more than 25 organizations will showcase the roles they have played in contributing to the city's heritage.
Then Toronto historian and author Ted Barris will discuss the roles of medics, doctors and nurses in the World Wars, with a Richmond Hill emphasis.
The heritage Summit takes place Sunday, Sept. 10 at the Richmond Hill Centre for the Performing Arts on Yonge Street.
The event is part of the ongoing RH150 anniversary celebrations. Richmond Hill was officially incorporated as a village in 1873.
