School-based COVID-19 vaccine clinics are returning to Newmarket next week.
Today, Tuesday, Sept. 21, clinics will be held at Newmarket High School at 505 Pickering Cres. and at King City Secondary School at 2001 King Rd.from 4 to 7 p.m.
On, Wednesday, Sept. 22, a school-based clinic will take place at Sacred Heart Catholic High School at 908 Lemar Rd. in Newmarket from 4 to 7 p.m.
Maple High School, at 50 Springside Rd. in Vaughan, will also hold a clinic at that same date and time.
The final school-based clinics of the week will take place on Thursday, Sept. 23 at St. Joan of Arc Catholic High School, 1 St. Joan of Arc Ave. in Vaughan, and at Stouffville District Secondary School, 801 Hoover Park Dr. in Whitchurch-Stouffville from 4 to 7 p.m.
The school-based clinics accept walk-ins for both first and second doses and Pfizer and Moderna vaccines will be available.
In Newmarket, there is also an ongoing walk-in community clinic at the York Region Administrative Centre at 17250 Yonge St.
It's open on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and on Tuesday and Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Throughout the week, York Region Public Health is also holding several pop-up vaccine clinics.
On Friday, Sept. 24, a clinic is planned at Georgina Trade Training Inc. at 5207 Baseline Rd. from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
On Saturday, Sept. 25, vaccines will be offered at the York Farmers Market at 7509 Yonge St. in Richmond Hill from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Then on Monday, Sept. 27, Royal Canadian Legion Branch 365 Sutton, at 21 East St., will hold a clinic from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Like the school-based clinics, pop-ups will offer both Pfizer and Moderna vaccines and be open for walk-ins for first or second doses.
