Health professionals have advised the safest way to watch the eclipse is by a livestream, and if the clouds don't dissipate, it might be the only way to see it today.
If you're watching the eclipse outside, be safe and use proper eye protection -- sunglasses won't be strong enough. Keep your pets indoors, and supervise kids at all times to make sure they keep their eye protection in place.
Newmarket is not in the path of totality, but it's still not be safe to remove protective eyewear.
