Heat Warning in effect for:
- Newmarket - Georgina - Northern York Region
- Pickering - Oshawa - Southern Durham Region
- Uxbridge - Beaverton - Northern Durham Region
- Vaughan - Richmond Hill - Markham
Hot and humid conditions continue this weekend into early next week.
Daytime maximum temperatures of 31C are expected along with overnight low temperatures of 20C.
There may be brief relief from the heat in some areas on Sunday as showers or thunderstorms are possible.
A slightly cooler air mass is expected to arrive on Tuesday.
Extreme heat affects everyone.
Drink plenty of water even before you feel thirsty and stay in a cool place.
Never leave people or pets inside a parked vehicle.
When it's hot eat cool, light meals.
Heat warnings are issued when very high temperature or humidity conditions are expected to pose an elevated risk of heat illnesses, such as heat stroke or heat exhaustion.
